TELLY star Tess Daly broke her silence
TELLY star Tess Daly broke her silence tonight on her "tough" few weeks since husband Vernon Kay's text sex confession — but vowed their marriage was "worth fighting for".
The Sun revealed last month how Vernon, 35, sent a series of steamy texts to five women, including Page 3 stunner Rhian Sugden.
Millions of viewers watched last night as pretty Tess opened her heart on TV to speak about her heartache.
A misty-eyed Tess, 40, took deep breaths as she bravely talked about her and Vernon's "10 great years together" and "two beautiful kids".
The Strictly Come Dancing host, looking stunning in a red dress, also said that despite Vernon's betrayal she was willing to give the marriage another go.
She made her heroic vow to Adrian Chiles and Christine Bleakley, Frank Lampard's girlfriend, on BBC's The One Show.
Christine asked her: "I know you have had a turbulent couple of weeks, shall we say, you and Vernon. How are you? How are you both? How are things?"
Tess told the sympathetic pair: "It's been tough as you can imagine, but I've taken some time out to think things through and at the end of the day we have had 10 great years together, we've got two beautiful kids and we both think that's worth fighting for."
Adrian then asked her: "In the public eye it's hard isn't it? You read about it in the papers. People mention it in the street."
Tess replied: "Dealing with it in private is difficult enough, but dealing with it in public is even harder, but at the end of the day I've had so much support from everyone that I meet really and well-wishers, not just family and friends.
"That has really touched me actually...a lot. It's been amazing."
All Star Family Fortunes host Vernon confessed to the text sex affairs last month, saying: "I've been an idiot."
He also admitted Tess had been left "extremely upset" by his texting affairs.
