MUM, DAD AND SON IN DEATH LEAP

THREE people who fell to their deaths from the 15th storey of a tower block were a Russian family seeking asylum, it was revealed last night.

Police have yet to confirm the identities of the father, mother and son who plunged 120ft in a Glasgow housing complex on Sunday.

Asylum-seeker campaigners claim they took their lives in a suicide pact because they faced deportation.

Last night, sources claimed the 41-year-old father, the mother in her 30s and the son, aged 20 or 21, had been granted asylum in Canada but left after a dispute there.

Yesterday, sources said the family arrived in the UK in 2007 but their asylum application had been turned down after the father said he was a Russian spy.

He then claimed that Canada had refused them citizenship and had conspired with Russia to have them killed.
