Doomed Osmond son sent farewell text: report
The son of singer Marie Osmond sent a friend a final text message before jumping to his death from his Los Angeles apartment building friday night, saying he had left her a suicide note, the gossip Web site TMZ.com is reporting.
Michael Blosil, 18, said in the note that the unidentified woman was his only friend in L.A. and he had been very unhappy, the site reported.
Blosil sent the text to his friend, who lived in the same apartment building, just before 9 p.m. and the sirens emergency vehicles responding to his tragic plunge were heard shortly thereafter, according to TMZ.

Osmond said in a statement through her publicist that her family is devastated by the "tragic loss," but has provided details of his death.
"My family and I are devastated and in deep shock by the tragic loss of our dear Michael and ask that everyone respect our privacy during this difficult time," Osmond said in the statement.
Cops told TMZ that although the note never explicity mentions suicide, that's clearly what it was. It reportedly mentioned things Blosil would be doing for the last time.
Blosil is one of Osmond's five adopted children. She also has three other children from two marriages. She divorced Brian Blosil in 2007 after two decades of marriage. She and her first husband Stephen Craig divorced in 1985.
Osmond earned fame at age 13 with the hit song "Paper Roses," and starred with her brother, Donny, on television's "Donny and Marie Show" during the 1970s.
