Woman killed in drunken brawl with paramour

A 35-year-old woman was killed allegedly in a drunken brawl with her paramour in Madhapur late on Sunday.
J. Anasuya’s body was found on the road in a residential area on Monday morning. It is suspected that Anasuya, a daily wager, was in an inebriated condition. Preliminary investigation suggests she died due to head injuries caused when her lover, Nagesh, hit her with a wooden log. The wooden log was found about 45 feet from where the body lay. An eyewitness told the police that he saw the couple fight at around 9 pm on Sunday.
According to Madhapur police, Anasuya had been cohabiting with Nagesh for two years. The couple used to consume alcohol and used to quarrel with each other. Six months ago, Nagesh had broken Anasuya’s leg.
