One good turn certainly deserves another, as Preity Zinta recently found out. The effervescent actress had adopted 34 orphaned girls from the Mother Miracle School in Hrishikesh in 2009, whose education, food, clothes and stay she sponsors. A year later, Preity’s “girls” gave her a pleasant surprise on her birthday.
Preity was out of town on her birthday, but on her return, she visited her girls in Hrishikesh. That’s when the girls showed her how much she meant to them by throwing her a belated birthday bash.
Reveals a source close to the star, “Preity was on an emotional roller coaster. The kids surprised her and sang to her when she went to visit them. She was completely overwhelmed by their gesture. She had a blast with the kids.”
The source added that Preity had in fact stocked up on chocolates, clothes and toys that she bought on her trip abroad, but she ended up receiving a greater gift from the children.
An emotional Preity said, “It’s an amazing feeling to be part of their lives. I’m going to make it a point to visit them at least twice a year. They are my children, my responsibility now.”
