Tabu and Konkana sen

Two of Bollywood’s most respected actresses, Tabu and Konkona Sen Sharma will come together on screen for producer Nazim Rizvi’s 20, 30, 40. Sources tell us that that the film tells the story of three women belonging to three different age groups, thus explaining the title.
Now it has emerged that after Rizvi approached them, both Tabu and Konkona have given their nod to the project. Being older, Tabu plays the woman in her 40s, while Konkona will enact a 30-something. The hunt is now for a suitable young girl to play the third character — a tough ask, considering the credentials of the two senior actresses.
It may be recalled that Tabu was earlier approached to play Konkona’s mother in 15 Park Avenue. At the time, Tabu refused the role, with Shabana Azmi stepping in to play her role.
Now, after a gap of almost four years, another filmmaker has thought of bringing the two actresses together. Cinephiles will undoubtedly be excited about this casting coup.
