Bollywood the next stop for Jackie Chan?
After conquering Hollywood with his death-defying stunts, is Bollywood the next stop for Jackie Chan?
Well, according to India's Mid-Day.com, it seems that this might happen, as Chan has been offered a role in Ra. 1, which will star Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan.
"They are hoping Jackie agrees to be part of the film."
"The production house has sent him a detailed script with the action scenes and a brief synopsis of his character," a source was quoted saying.
In what was described as a "superhero thriller", the king of kung fu was reportedly given the role of a scientist who will help Shah Rukh to fight the villains.
It is said that production will be set in Miami.
Aided by a Hollywood crew, Anubhav Sinha, whose credit included Bollywood movie Cash, will helm the film.
David Benullo will be working as the scribe with Ueli Steiger as the cinematographer.
As if the cast is not stellar enough, Bollywood beauty Kareena Kapoor will play Shah Rukh's love interest in Ra.1, which stands for Random Access Version One.
Expected to be released by end of this year or early next year, it was said to be a superhero movie that is laden with special effects.
Chan's latest flick The Spy Next Door is now showing in cinemas, with his next film The Karate Kid coming out in June.
Meanwhile, Shah Rukh, 44, recently has his own wax likeness unveiled at Madame Tussauds in Hollywood.
Though he was the first Bollywood star to have a wax statue in the Hollywood museum, it was not his first time.
The actor was immortalized in wax in Madame Tussauds's London museum before this.
