Good hearted Harrisan Ford

Harrison Ford has taken his role of a brave savior from the reel to real as the 'Indiana Jones' star flew his own plane with medical volunteers and supplies to earthquake stricken Haiti.

Like his character of the fearless explorer Indiana Jones, Ford flew in and when he arrived at the 'Love a Child' Health Center, he was greeted by cheering children, reported Daily Mail online.

The 67-year-old used his Cessna 208 Caravan to support a charity which provides free reconstructive surgery to orphaned children.

Ford made a number of flights over two days from February 6, and in total transported 20 volunteers including surgeons, an anesthetist and nurses, as well as medical supplies.

The actor was the latest celebrity to pitch in to help the stricken Caribbean island nation in the wake of an earthquake which killed thousands of people.

Fellow film stars John Travolta and Angelina Jolie also visited Haiti in the aftermath of the devastating quake.
