
A 15-year-old girl has probably become the youngest drug trafficking suspect in police custody, following her arrest in the largest drug seizure in the Klang Valley this year.
Also nabbed were her two sisters and a fiance of one of the siblings. The man has a drug-related criminal record.
The police seized ganja weighing 126kg, and RM229,000 believed to be proceeds from the sale of drugs when they raided a unit at the Anjung Villa Condominium in Bandar Baru Sentul here at 11am yesterday.
The compressed ganja, worth about RM300,000, was found in 258 packs.
A Proton Satria and two motorcycles, believed to belong to the suspects, were seized by the raiding police team.
Criminal Investigation Department (Anti-Narcotics) director Datuk Zul Hasnan Najib Baharudin said today, the suspects aged between 15 and 32, were investigated under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act which carries the mandatory death penalty upon conviction.
He said initial police investigations revealed the unit was used to store the drugs before distribution to the addict population in the Klang Valley.
Zul Hasnan described the drug seizure as the largest this year, in the Klang Valley.
