Peeping Tom

A MAN was fined $1,000 on Thursday for peeping at a student showering from under the partition of a cubicle at a swimming complex.

Customer service officer Lim Inn Wah, 48, admitted sticking his tongue out and licking his lips while peeping at the 18-year-old from an adjoining shower cubicle at the men's toilet of Tampines Swimming Complex at Tampines Avenue 5 on July 7 last year.

The court heard that the distressed victim sought the help of a lifeguard, who detained Lim.

Lim could have been fined up to $2,000 for using insulting behaviour.
